WAC Wednesdays are a part of our Writing Across the Curriculum programs facilitated by Dr. Heather Falconer.
Every writer benefits from receiving thoughtful, constructive feedback. Peer review on writing helps us see how well we are presenting our ideas to our audience, navigating genre conventions, and supporting our claims. As reviewers, it helps us practice ways of thinking as a member of our discipline. Facilitating that process within a course, however, presents unique challenges. In this workshop, we will explore effective strategies for facilitating peer review on student writing in a variety of course types and sizes. From small group, in-class activities to larger scale review processes, we’ll offer some approaches that instructors can use to make the peer review process meaningful for learning. This workshop is appropriate for anyone incorporating multi-draft writing project into their coursework.
First session starts September 23rd | 2:00pm – 3:00pm
