Four Pillars of Effective Group Work

Thursday, February 6 @ 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm

Having our students work collaboratively in our courses is an effective way to increase engagement and learning.  Yet, many faculty and students dislike group work. Designing and implementing effective group work requires considerations of many factors.  We will discuss four key components of group work in this workshop: positive interdependence, individual accountability, opportunity for interaction, and the development of social skills.
