End of Semester Share and Prepare: A teaching reflection workshop for Graduate Students.
Tuesday, December 18, 2018 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm
Join us for lunch and share about your teaching experiences from past semesters as we explore strategies to prepare for future teaching opportunities.
Effective teaching involves intentional reflection and revision of our teaching practices and materials. Although the end of the semester provides the best time to reflect on our courses, often we fail to carve out time to think critically about how our courses went and create actionable ‘next steps.’
We will discuss the value of a reflective teaching practice, how to critically reflect on past courses and how to use this information to make improvements for the future.
This workshop is intended for any interested graduate students (teaching assistantships are not required). Whether you have just completed your first semester as a teaching assistant, have several semesters of experience, or are looking ahead to your first teaching experience this will be a valuable opportunity.
Lunch will be provided for registered participants. We look forward to seeing you!
