SUMMARY:CFRU Webinar: Monitoring Maine's Forest Birds
DESCRIPTION:This webinar will begin with an overview by Natural Resources Canada scientist Lisa Venier of the work that she and her team are doing on J.D. Irving land in New Brunswick and will continue this summer in Maine\, deploying auto-acoustic devices to record and monitor forest songbirds. \nFollowing this talk\, Adrienne Leppold of the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and Glen Mittelhauser of the Maine Natural History Observatory will describe the Maine Bird Atlas project\, an ambitious 5-year effort to survey all breeding and wintering birds across the entire state of Maine that will begin this summer.
