This half-day workshop will provide a hands-on introduction to Avenza Maps. You will learn how to prepare your data, create geospatial PDFs in ArcGIS, upload them to Avenza Maps on a tablet or smartphone, and use them in a short field exercise. We will also cover the basics of using and sharing data collected with Avenza Maps. Participants will walk away with the tools and knowledge to apply the workflows used in the workshop to support their own projects.

This one-day workshop will explore the basics of 3D point cloud processing using tools in FUSION, Global Mapper, and ArcGIS. You will learn where to get publicly available point cloud data, how to visualize your data, and how to create bare earth DEMs, canopy surface models, and canopy height models. Participants will walk away with the tools and knowledge to apply the workflows used in the workshop to their existing lidar and photo-based point cloud datasets.
