Assistants for Operations will clean and maintain all Campus Rec indoor and outdoor facilities, groom trails, and repair broken equipment. They are responsible for facilitating a fun, safe and welcoming environment for participants and staff members at all times. Before employment begins they are required to achieve certifications in Professional Rescuer CPR, Standard First Aid, Blood Borne Pathogens, and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clean the indoor facilities (Student Recreation Center and Maine Bound Adventure Center).<\/li>\n<li>Perform maintenance duties as assigned at Campus Recreation&#8217;s outdoor facilities, which include: Lengyel Field, Challenge Course, Maine Bound Recreation Area, University Park Field, Riverside Recreation Area, and the University&#8217;s trail system.<\/li>\n<li>Groom the ski trails as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Repair broken equipment as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Respond to injuries and assist in immediate first aid and proper emergency procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a welcoming, inclusive environment for staff and participants.<\/li>\n<li>Perform student evaluations and recommendations for merit increases.<\/li>\n<li>Attend staff meetings and trainings.<\/li>\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As an operations staff member, you are expected to be a friendly, knowledgeable caretaker of all Campus Recreation facilities. We expect all employees to have a positive attitude, show up for work on time, dress professionally, and perform all assigned duties in a professional manner.
