Adams Elementary School. This employee\u2019s primary responsibility is to oversee the safe participation of students ranging from kindergarten to fifth grade. Additionally, he or she will facilitate games and activities to enhance the after school program for each participant. He or she will always be attentive to students&#8217; needs and ensure each student is engaging in an activity. This employee may also be responsible for leading crafts or recreational activities in the gym. The person holding this position is responsible for facilitating a fun, safe and welcoming environment for participants and staff members at all times. Before employment begins they are required to achieve certifications in CPR, First Aid and AED for Child and Adults as well as pass a State Background Check.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The responsibilities of this position include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>General supervision of multiple children with facilitating program rules<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Regulations, and safety concerns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Greeting and supervising children during drop-off and pick-up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Escorting campers to and from each program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist program director and Assistant Director as needed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plan and implement recreational activities for children<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend to injuries and illnesses<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist parents with inquiries regarding the program<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Maintain camp facilities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend staff meetings and training<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform other duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As a RAD Camp Counselor, you are expected to be a friendly, knowledgeable, and vigilant representative of Campus Recreation\/Town of Orono. We expect all employees to have a positive attitude, show up for work on time, dress professionally, and perform all assigned duties in a professional manner.
