Last weekend, Officer Berube from UMPD was on active patrol and discovered a campfire in the woods off Trail 2 in the Demeritt Forest. A group of folks ran away when he approached. This area is in drought conditions and the woods are very dry.

REMEMBER, no campfires or other burnables (cigarettes, marijuana, cigars, sage bundles, trash piles, spiced pumpkin candles or any other scent, etc) are allowed in the UM forest and trails.
