August 14: Maine Bound Reopens August 17 with Limited Hours
Big News! Maine Bound is open for Bouldering and Auto Belay use only from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM starting Monday August 17!
- Reservations will be required (use WebTrac or call 581-1794).
- Only 6 climbers will be permitted in the facility at one time.
- Only UMaine students and employees, and local residents who had active memberships on March 16, 2020, will have access. No day passes, use of punch passes, group use, or new memberships will be available at this time.
- Before you enter we will ask you some health screening questions.
- Photo ID is still required; we have implemented a touch-less check-in process so please let us know if you would like your Drivers’ License bar code recorded for faster check-in.
- Face covering must be worn at all times in the facility (including while climbing) unless individual has written permission from Human Resources or Student Accessibility Services.
- Patrons are expected to maintain 6′ of social distancing at all times within the facility. When climbing, patrons should remain in their designated area (marked with white tape on the flooring).
- Please sanitize hands before and after each climbing problem.
- No chalk will be permitted in the facility with the exception of liquid chalk (ideally 80% Alcohol-based).
- Please wash your hands frequently and only bring the necessities with you such as keys, ID, and cell phone.
- Come dressed to climb so you don’t require a bag.
- Please use your own equipment when possible (climbing shoes and harness), however we will have a limited number available daily
- Health Screening:
- Within the last 14 days, have you experienced any of these symptoms?
- Fever or chills?
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- unexplained muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of ability to taste or smell
- Sore Throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
- In the last 14 days did you care for or have close contact with someone diagnosed with COVID 19?
- In the last 14 days, have you traveled out of the state?
- Within the last 14 days, have you experienced any of these symptoms?
