DESCRIPTION:The Maine Landscapes of Vincent Hartgen\, Michael Lewis\, and James Linehan\nCo-curated by Diana Baumbach (Associate Professor of Art & Director of Galleries) and James Linehan (Professor Emeritus of Art)\, A Sense of Wonder celebrates the legacy of three emeritus professors in Painting: Vincent Hartgen\, Michael Lewis\, and James Linehan. These educators shaped the Art Department and collectively provided nearly 130 years of teaching and administrative work at the University of Maine. The exhibition features landscape paintings spanning their careers. It includes key works\, as well as lesser-known paintings\, some of which are on view for the first time. A publication including essays and reproductions will be available in the gallery. \nA Sense of Wonder is made possible by Jane and Kelly Littlefield and donors to the Littlefield Gallery Sculptor-in-Residence Fund.
