By the end of the two-part series\, you will have completed four short e-Learning modules to introduce you to the 4-H program\, participate in an experiential learning activity\, learn about the key aspects of positive youth development\, and be introduced to ages and stages of youth. This core training will wrap up with an outline of next steps and an introduction to your county staff contact so you can begin the application process if you choose. No pressure to commit\, no cost\, and no reason to not attend! Please note\, these sessions are for individuals who are not currently enrolled 4-H volunteers. \nUpcoming Session\nFridays\, February 21 & 28\, 2025\, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.\nQuestions\nContact Jen Lobley\, jennifer.lobley@maine.edu; 207.255.3345.\nRegistration \nRegistration is required\, but there is no cost. \nRegister for February 21 & 28\, 2025 \nFor a reasonable accommodation\, please contact Jen Lobley at jennifer.lobley@maine.edu; 207.255.3345. \n\n4-H is a community for all kids with programs that suit a variety of backgrounds\, interests\, budgets and schedules. SUMMARY:Life of Trees
DESCRIPTION:In The Life of Trees a cheeky ladybug called Dolores and a quirky firefly called Mike take the audience on an adventurous journey of exploration into the wondrous world of trees. Attend the Creepy Crawlies Educational Institution to find out how trees live and their importance to the wider environment. \nOn the excursion Delores and Mike zip around a tree\, and in doing so\, playfully learn its secrets: How do plants get their food from the Sun? How do they grow? How does water get from the roots to the top of the crown? And how does all this make life on our earth possible? \nThe Life of Trees is a perfect planetarium show for the whole family that raises the awareness of protecting the natural environment in which we live. \nWatch the trailer here! \n  \n\n  \nTickets for planetarium programs are $7 for Adults\, $6 for UMaine Students/Veterans/Senior Citizens\, and $5 for children under 12. Click here to view our calendar. \nTickets may be purchased online\, by phone at 207.581.1341\, or at our ticket box office prior to the show.
