Canning and Preserving Blueberry Jam in Falmouth

University of Maine Cooperative Extension will offer a workshop about canning and preserving blueberry jam on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:30–8 p.m. at Cumberland County Extension Office, 75 Clearwater Drive in Falmouth.

Canning and Preserving Blueberry Jam covers how to prepare and preserve blueberry jam, including methods for using less sugar. The instructor will teach safe preservation techniques for blueberries using both the boiling water bath canning method and freezing. Participants will receive recipes and a jar of homemade jam. Please bring a potholder with you to class.
