Joseph A. Sevcik

Joseph Sevcik is a marketing professional with more than 35 years of experience in both consumer and business marketing. He has led marketing and brand initiatives for several large national companies, including Hallmark Cards, H&R Block, and Assurant Employee Benefits. His expertise includes strategic planning, brand positioning, product development, distribution channel development, advertising, and market research. 

His career has taken him all across the United States as well as internationally. He and his family lived in both Taiwan and Hong Kong while working for Hallmark Cards. In addition to his cooperating faculty role at the University of Maine’s business school, Mr. Sevcik is a marketing consultant.

Service Work / Consulting

Joe currently serves as a river guide for Friends of the Kaw, a conservation group based near his home in Kansas. He is also a volunteer trail builder with Urban Trail Company, an organization that builds hiking and biking trails in the Kansas City area.
