Dr. Faye Gilbert
Faye W. Gilbert, Ph.D. is dean of the Undergraduate School of Business, interim provost, and a professor of marketing at the University of Maine. Gilbert has served as Dean of the College of Business and Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) since 2013. Prior to USM, she served as Dean of Business at Radford University and for Georgia College & State University. She completed her BSBA in business and MBA degrees at the University of Southern Mississippi and her doctorate in marketing at the University of North Texas. She achieved the academic rank of professor of marketing with a joint appointment in pharmacy administration at the University of Mississippi. Her scholarship has been published in journals such as the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science, Journal of Marketing Channels, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Retailing, and the Journal of Business Research, to name a few, with a focus on aspects of decision making and intercultural perceptions. She also co-authored a book on the intersection of customer relationship management and information technology.
Faye has served as president of the deans’ organization, the Southern Business Administration Association, as President of the Society for Marketing Advances and of the Southwestern Marketing Association (now known as ACME). She has served on the Continuous Improvement Review Committee for the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since 2017 and is currently the Vice Chair of that committee. She was honored with the inaugural “dean of the year” award by Beta Gamma Sigma, the honor society for AACSB accredited programs. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Council for Economic Education and for Beta Gamma Sigma.
Dr. J. Michael Weber
Dr. J. Michael Weber is dean of the Graduate School of Business at the University of Maine. He oversees the 100+ MBA and certificate students within the Graduate School of Business, located in both Portland and Orono. He is also a Professor of Marketing. Prior to his service at UMaine, he served as a senior associate dean and professor of marketing at Mercer University.
Weber has a more than 20-year career in academia, with significant experience in graduate program development and growth. He received an MBA from the University of West Florida and a Ph.D. in business from Louisiana State University. He also has held faculty positions at the University of West Florida, University of Miami, Barry University and Eastern New Mexico University.
Dr. Niclas Erhardt
Dr. Erhardt is Associate Dean of Maine Business School, and the Director of Maine Business School’s Professional Development Center. He has earned degrees from Cornell University, Iowa State University and Rutgers University, and has 15 years of experience teaching, researching and consulting in the areas of Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior. Within these fields, his areas of expertise include organizational design, knowledge work, creativity, workplace dynamics, and virtual team and organizational collaboration. His work has been cited well over 3,200 times and published in journals including Journal of Management, Human Resource Management Review, Corporate Governance: An International Review, Management Learning, Management Communication Quarterly, and Small Group Research.
He also serves as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative, and is a Faculty Leadership Fellow. Dr. Erhardt also works closely with a number of firms across various industries focusing on Human Resource Management issues, driving creative teamwork and managing workplace dynamics.
