B.S. in Business Administration in Marketing

Students in marketing study the planning, implementation and control of programs designed to satisfy customers’ needs while achieving organizational goals.  Marketing decisions require customer analysis to:

  1. guide the development of new products or the enhancement of existing products;
  2. price those products;
  3. communicate information about products to customers;
  4. distribute those products.

Graduates take positions in both profit and non-profit organizations.  This fast-paced program prepares graduates for a variety of positions in retail management, services marketing, sales, advertising, marketing research and international marketing.  Students also develop basic business skills such as teamwork, professional presentation, effective communication and leadership.

Because of MBS’s extensive ties to the business community, marketing majors often have the ability to test out their skills by working directly with businesses who need assistance or help with marketing problems. Many marketing students connect through the American Marketing Association (AMA) to work collaboratively in the community on a variety of projects.
