Sandra Bartolini Lawrence ʼ71
Sandy Lawrence is currently an independent management consultant specializing in business building and innovation projects. Over her career, Sandy has held senior executive positions at both Fortune companies and start-ups, in categories ranging from shampoos to robots, and consumer electronics to medical devices. In her consulting work, Sandy has done such varied projects as identifying and building new $100M consumer health businesses for a major pharmaceutical company, running an EcoGenetics start up as interim CEO, working to create a robot assisted autism therapy company and business development activity in the wearable computing and home monitoring categories. From 2007-2010 Sandy was President and CEO of Therative, Inc., a venture backed start up in the consumer medical space. Therative was sold in 2010. Until 2007, Sandy held senior positions at Gillette (VP New Products and Business Development), Polaroid, (CMO and General Manager Digital Printing), Johnson and Johnson (VP Innovation), and iRobot (President Consumer Division). Sandy’s expertise is in strategy, innovation, business creation, marketing, new products, new ventures and business development. Sandy earned an MBA from Northeastern University and a BS in Business Administration from University of Maine. She is on the Board of Visitors of the University of Maine and the Tufts Gordon Institute. She is also on several non-profit and start up advisory boards.
