October 29, 2014: “Championing the Flagship’s Forward Momentum”

UMaine alumni and friends joined UMaine’s 20th and first woman president, Susan J. Hunter Ph.D., at our Fall 2014 BECUM event for a thought-provoking and inspiring conversation regarding the future of public higher education in Maine. President Hunter described how she plans to work with alumni and other groups to enhance UMaine’s position as the flagship university in and well beyond Maine.

April 17, 2014: “University of Maine: Leveraging the Academic Capabilities of the Flagship”

BECUM members joined representatives of the University of Maine for an evening of conversation lead by UMaine’s executive vice president for academic affairs and provost on the challenges of providing an outstanding academic experience to Maine students. Members also heard about the inspirational and extraordinary work students in different academic programs are accomplishing.
