My Day to Play & Safety Education at Maine Discovery Museum, 3/22/15

MAIER’s Maine Family Partnership will be hosting a “My Day to Play” and Safety Education event for children with autism and their families on Sunday, March 22nd, 2015. This free event will be at the Maine Discovery Museum during a time closed to other visitors.

Children can enjoy fun activities at the Museum and get to meet local firemen, policemen, and other first responders in a safe, nonthreatening setting.

Matthew Brown, of Autism Safety Education and Training (ASET) will be presenting safety information to parents and caregivers at 4:30pm. Come learn about how to be proactive in keeping your children safe in your homes, schools, and communities. Safety handouts and resources will be available to take home. Parents of older children, teens, and adults are encouraged to attend.

Join us for this free opportunity to play, gather important information and resources about keeping your children, teens and young adults with autism safe, and enjoy time and refreshments with other families!
