Accreditation at the University of Maine
The University of Maine is accredited by the New England Association for Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the oldest regional accrediting association in the United States. NEASC requires member institutions to demonstrate assessment of student learning by meeting specific standards and submitting a self-study report. In addition, individual degree programs within UMaine’s five schools and colleges receive accreditation or recognition from various accrediting bodies and professional societies.
