Overall “Kick-Off”, President Hunter and Provost Hecker

At this Forum, President Susan J. Hunter hosted a “town meeting” to present to the University community the idea behind the assessment of the Blue Sky Strategic Plan and the opportunities from this reflection in building the foundation for our next strategic plan. Provost Jeffrey E. Hecker presented an overview of the process, the approach taken as assessment work commenced over the summer, and a timeline for completion. He provided highlights from each pathway and described the format of the Pathway Forums to follow throughout the fall. UMaine community members were encouraged to attend. Pathway 1 – Jake Ward, Chair

The Blue Sky Strategic Plan’s Pathway 1 is entitled “Serving Our State: Catalyzing Maine’s Revitalization”. As the Pathway 1 Chair, Jake Ward, Vice President for Innovation & Economic Development, presented to the University community a review of initiatives and accomplishments related to Pathway 1. He led a discussion and gathered feedback. UMaine community members were encouraged to attend. As the Pathway 2 Chair, Jeffery Mills, President of the University of Maine Foundation, presented to the University community a review of initiatives and accomplishments related to Pathway 2.
