Adjunct Assistant Professor of Art
Wayne Hall moved to Maine in 2000 from North Carolina, where he had been making sculptural rustic furniture since 1992. An artist for 40 years, he earned BFA and MFA degrees from the University of Georgia. He has taught sculpture and rustic furniture at a number of programs, including the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship, Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Peters Valley Craft Center, Duke, NC State, the Ellsworth school system, and currently at the University of Maine. He conducts his own work in a studio/apple barn/beaver lodge making things of the forest and the imagination.
