Description

The ArtWorks! program is an integral component of the art education curriculum in which art education majors learn pedagogical theory and curriculum design by apply them in our laboratory school for grades K-8. The art education majors gain practical early teaching experience, and area children and adolescents receive specialized instruction in a wide range of art concepts, techniques, and media.

ArtWorks! Fall 2021

Because of safety concerns having to do with the COVID-19 pandemic, UMaine’s Art Education students created a virtual ArtWorks! exhibition rather than inviting family and friends to campus for the traditional reception. Please see the virtual exhibition here.

The Art Education Program will be offering another session of the ArtWorks! program in the spring 2022 semester. For information and an application, contact Constant Albertson (constant.albertson@maine.edu) in early January.
