As one of the five domains of the Army Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) System, physical readiness is the ability to meet the physical demands of any duty or combat role.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, the Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) was replaced with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army.mil\/acft\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Army Combat Fitness Test (ACFT)<\/a>.\u00a0 The scoring of this test is based solely on your occupation (or job) within the military and unlike the APFT, no longer accounts for gender or age.\u00a0 Below are references to the new health and fitness Field Manual and its two Army Techniques Publications as well as the references for determining your desired occupation&#8217;s Physical Demands Category.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/armypubs.army.mil\/epubs\/DR_pubs\/DR_a\/ARN30964-FM_7-22-001-WEB-4.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FM 7-22 Holistic Health and Fitness<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/armypubs.army.mil\/epubs\/DR_pubs\/DR_a\/ARN30710-ATP_7-22.01-000-WEB-1.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ATP 7-22.01.
