Parinaz Rahimzadeh-Bajgiran

Parinaz Rahimzadeh received her Ph.D. in Biological and Environmental Information Engineering from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 2011. Since September 2018 she has been working as the Assistant Professor of Remote Sensing of Natural Resources at the School of Forest Resources, University of Maine. Dr. Rahimzadeh employs remote sensing and geospatial analysis to assess and model forest health and productivity. Dr. Rahimzadeh currently is leading a number of active projects to address sustainable forest management issues in the Northeast such as spruce budworm outbreak, ash protection and white pine health monitoring. She has done research in tree-level ash tree identification and is interested in Emerald ash borer (EAB) damage detection and EAB susceptibility modeling using very high resolution remote sensing imagery.
