Mary Drury

Mary Drury 21-22

Mary Drury is currently a Masters student in the Anthropology and Environmental Policy program. She is from Boston, and holds an associates degree in Liberal Art from Middlesex Community College, and a BA in Anthropology from Southern New Hampshire University. Her capstone project for her undergraduate degree was conducted under instruction from Dr. Ian Edwards and focused on food insecurity within the Navajo Nation. Today her research interests lie within coastal communities, particularly in the area of ornamental fish trade sustainability within the US and abroad. Mary hopes to merge her two projects and bring interest to urban aquafarming and microfarming. Mary won the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship award in 2014 and developed a passion for travel. She hopes to take her research overseas and continue to develop a broader picture of what sustainable ornamental fishing looks like.
