Playing football for the University of Maine has been the most valuable experience of my life. I learned many lessons that carry me through not only my professional career but also my personal life, which has included a diagnosis of cancer. As a Black Bear I learned that there is no limit to what we can achieve through hard work, dedication, and teamwork. I truly believe that having the opportunity to compete for The University of Maine helped shape the person I am today and led to the successes I’ve enjoyed since graduation. It was a privilege to represent our university and to spend four years with my coaches and teammates, all of whom I consider part of my family. Go Black Bears!

My experience as a University of Maine scholar-athlete and football team member was a special one. It allowed me to grow and develop as a student-athlete and young man, but it greatly and positively impacted my professional career path. The many values learned through my Maine Football experience still resonate with me today on a personal and professional level, but it’s also the friendships and teammates made during that time that have left with me with a sense of pride, achievement and a common bond shared with those who demonstrated commitment, sacrifice and passion for Maine Football. Having been a part of the program has allowed me to feel a reflective appreciation, camaraderie and connection today to a long legacy of teams, players and coaches from the past, and I wish for sustained success of Black Bear football into the future.
