Concentrations - Wildlife Science and Management

The Wildlife Science and Management concentration is designed to allow students to explore the scientific and applied aspects of wildlife science and management and gain experience in field, laboratory, and analytical methods.  Students enrolled in this curriculum are often active in the University of Maine’s Student Chapter of The Wildlife Society.  This curriculum allows students to meet the requirements for professional certification by The Wildlife Society – download 2012 certification application form here.  In addition to the core curriculum, students must take the following courses:

Required course — 3 credits

Organismal biology course — 3-4 credits

Management course — 3-5 credits

Science course — 3-4 credits
