THE death of a student in a crash near Winchester will help other people as her organs have been donated. Caitie Homan, 24, died last Thursday at Southampton General Hospital a day after being struck by a car near Sparsholt whilst walking a dog.
Carol Polley, right, stands with friends and other military members during a memorial service for her son at the University of Maine on Monday, May 6, 2013. David Michael Veverka, a Maine graduate and Army National Guard staff sergeant with the 172nd Infantry Division, was killed in 2006 by an improvised explosive device while serving in Iraq.
Memorial images and dog tags of two Bravo Company soldiers that have hung on the walls of an Iraq military base since the men’s deaths five years ago — reminding others of their service and their ultimate sacrifice — made their way home this week.
