Adding/Editing Pages - Changing a Page’s URL

WordPress automatically forms a URL (also known as the page “permalink”) for your website’s pages based on the page title and hierarchy (see Organizing Your Pages for more information about setting the page hierarchy).

You have limited control over how the URLs are formed when it comes to page titles. To edit a page’s URL, click the Edit button after the Permalink, just under the page title box:

You can change the portion highlighted in yellow to reflect a shorter, neater URL if desired. Spaces and fancy characters will not work.
