Operation H.E.A.R.T.S. in Memphis, TN

We just wanted to let you all know that Operation HEARTS members and I, returned home over the weekend, and had a great time volunteering in Memphis, TN!  We spent time serving and learning about Veterans, families infected & affected with HIV, and the homeless in Memphis. We also toured the VA hospital and LeBonheur Children’s Hospital, and made time to see the many cultural and historic sites of Memphis. We even met some UMaine Alumni along our travels.  It was a really great trip. The students will be presenting to Student Government early in the fall, and sharing some of their wonderful photos.

Here are a few pictures of the group who went (excluding myself and the outgoing president, Molly Flanagan, Class of 2013 Grad)
