The Division of Community Education (formerly UMaine Training & Safety) is the community outreach department of the University Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a student-run organization. We offer classes in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid. Classes are open to students, staff, faculty and any others interested in the life-saving skills our education can offer. Classes are taught to the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI).
