Welcome to the UVAC Division of Community Education

The Division of Community Education (formerly UMaine Training & Safety) is the community outreach department of the University Volunteer Ambulance Corps, a student-run organization. We offer classes in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Automatic External Defibrillator (AED), and First Aid. Classes are open to students, staff, faculty and any others interested in the peace of mind our education can offer. Classes are taught to the standards of the American Heart Association (AHA) or the Emergency Care and Safety Institute (ECSI). In addition to our certification classes, we offer free Hands-Only CPR classes and conduct wellness and health promotion programs.
