2012 Yoga Sponsor Sheet (for each yogi to raise $108) – Use this form to keep track of who is sponsoring your 108 Sun Salutations.
Please join Upward Bound and Central Street Yoga for 108 Sun Salutations to welcome the Spring Equinox. If you can’t attend, please sponsor a yogi! There is a $25 registration fee and participants are encouraged to collect pledges to reach $108. All participants with pledges of $108 or more will be entered into a drawing.
The money raised through this 108 Sun Salutation Event supports stipends for Upward Bound “Bridge” students – those who are attending their first semester of college in the fall. Upward Bound serves low-income high school students from Maine and Massachusetts who plan to be the first generation within their immediate families to complete college. These stipends help our students buy textbooks and pay portions of necessary bills. Bridge students have participated in several Upward Bound summer programs, and have done additional academic research to prepare them for college and earn their stipends. Your participation means so much to our students, who increasingly face huge financial gaps in their attempts to pay for a college education. Join us for the 108 Sun Salutations and help us celebrate the UB students’ journey in carving a new educational path for themselves in 2012.
