Welcome to Touchstone

The Touchstone Project is a program at UMaine aimed at helping students engage with their surroundings, connect with each other, and belong to the UMaine community.  Touchstone offers training for both students and staff, as well as a wealth of resources on mental health and wellbeing.

Touchstone Project:

• Identifies students at risk
• Serves students referred by Faculty and Staff
• Creates more access to counseling services
• Lowers barriers to seeking help
• Supports Faculty through consultation
• Provides training for when and how to talk with students about signs of suicide
