Outdoor Discovery Trips - Islands and Sea — (A)
Once you have camped on a Maine coast island, you will never be quite the same! Each morning campers hop in a canoe and paddle away from their island campsite to explore the coves, islands and inlets of Tenants Harbor. While exploring, campers discover an aquamarine quarry perfect for a refreshing swim, remote sand beaches and lots of marine wildlife! A treasure hunt can only be completed by executing navigational clues. The surprise at the end makes it worth all the effort! Exciting days exploring are followed by campfire nights complete with all the sounds and scents of life at sea.
Campers will learn skills in boating, navigation and water safety as they discover the magical world of the Maine coast. Making new friends, learning about marine ecology, cooperative living and low-impact island camping are all essential ingredients of this awesome discovery program.
