Outdoor Discovery Trips - Captains Quest — (A)
Be ready ye campers for a most thrilling and adventuresome time! Take sailing and navigational skills to a whole new level with Captain’s Quest…an advanced sailing program designed for teenagers who have solid sailing skills and are ready to hit the open seas! Mornings begin with a time for reflection and journaling. After cooking a hearty breakfast over an open fire, its on to fun and engaging challenges that build leadership, confidence and friendships. Afternoons are spent sailing with the Saint George Community Sailing Foundation. Evenings offer games like capture the flag, moonlit hikes to Roaring spout and end always end with a seaside campfire. Participants camp on the shores of Blueberry Cove and cook campfire meals. In the middle of the program, a weekend camping trip on a coastal island promises to be a special adventure. Give your teenager the gift of sailing, a skill that can be enjoyed for a lifetime!
- Trip Level: Advanced, campers ages 14-17
- Requirements: Ability to swim, comfortable on the water, good physical condition, previous sailing and camping experience
