Summer Camps & Trips - Outdoor Discovery Trips

(W) = Wilderness Trips   (A) = Adventures just for Teens  (T) = Travel Trips

Maine’s coastal waters and inland hills provide a perfect setting for campers to discover their connections with the earth and practice outdoor group living skills. Discovery Trips take place entirely outdoors and are for campers who want a more physically and mentally challenging experience. Rain or shine, we are on the trail, on the water and on the go!

These unique camping trips are designed to immerse youth in Maine’s beautiful outdoors and to teach skills in cooperation, natural history, communication and living lightly on the Earth.

All trips practice “Leave No Trace” camping procedures where campers leave behind most of the usual comforts of home. Backpacking is defined as carrying your food, clothing, and shelter in a backpack while hiking from site to site. Discovery Trips are generally limited to ten campers, under the guidance of two skilled and caring trip leaders.
