The tranquil forest setting of Tanglewood has a wonderful atmosphere. Surrounded by over 900 acres of woodland, guests to our facility are able to enjoy the abundance of natural beauty in the area.
We prefer that our Tanglewood facility hosts organizations and/or events that support our vision (such as those with an environmental or educational theme), or those serving local community groups. For other events, please consider Blueberry Cove.
Tanglewood’s centrally located Dining Hall is our main indoor space. The building, which dates from the 1930s, has a 75–100 person capacity and is equipped with both a fireplace and wood stove. It is connected to Tanglewood’s kitchen facility, and borders a large lawn where our 70-seat amphitheater and a small campfire circle are located.
Smaller spaces meeting/breakout spaces are also available. The Nature Center and Museum have 20 and 15 person capacities respectively and are both heated, however the Museum is without access to electricity.
Our living accommodations comprise of six heated cabins, with a total capacity of 55–60, and nine unheated cabins, with a total capacity of 54. Half (three) of the heated cabins include electricity.
The modern central bath house is heated and includes shower facilities. There are additional small bath houses close to those cabins situated in satellite living units.
A fully-furnished kitchen is available.
