Motor Vehicles and Parking
In order to insure the orderly flow of traffic, maximum utilization of parking facilities and access to buildings for emergency vehicles, it is necessary to establish and enforce rules governing vehicle operation and parking on campus. Please remember that they apply to everyone utilizing roadways and parking lots at The University of Maine and are enforced year-round. During Summer University, students, faculty and staff may purchase their parking permit ($10) at the MaineCard Services, 130 Memorial Union. No-charge visitor and temporary permits may be obtained at the Student Service Center, Bear Necessities (Alfond Arena), Visitor’s Center (Buchanan/Alumni House) during Monday-Friday business hours (8 AM – 4:30 PM) or at UMaine Police Station (Rangeley Rd) open 24/7.
All parking lot designation rules
are enforced during Summer University.
