Celebrating Blue Skies and Black Bears

2014 Homecoming and Parent’s Weekend

October 17 – 19, 2014

Join us for an exciting, fun filled weekend.

This year we plan to host parents and alumni on campus for a weekend filled with exciting events to please everyone.  The annual Homecoming Craft Fair will be open in the newly renovated Field House Saturday October 18 from 10:00a until 5:00p and Sunday, October 19 from 10:00a – 4:00p.  This is the largest craft fair in the State of Maine.  Departments around campus will be hosting receptions for alumni, parents and students.  (Updates are made daily, ticket options etc will be posted shortly).

Parents Weekend Check In

Check in for parents and students will take place as follows – there is no pre-registration required, but please check below for ticket purchases.

6:00p – 8:00p Friday, October 17 at the Memorial Union Lobby

8:00a – 12:noon Saturday, October 18 at the Memorial Union Lobby

Parents will be able to pick up pre-purchased tickets for the Lobster Bake and the Jazz Brunch during check in.  Tickets should be purchased in advance through the links listed below which will be live by October 1, 2014.  Additional information related to the scheduled and campus maps will be available during check in.

10:00a – 11:00a Emera Astronomy Center Dedication Ceremony

5:00p – 8:00p Welcome to the University – Check-in for general information

7:00p Hockey University of Maine Black Bears vs Union College, Alfond Arena (tickets available through the Athletics ticket office)

8:00p – 10:00p Jordan Observatory open viewing hours

Saturday

8:30a – 12:00 noon Welcome to the University – Check-in for general information

9:30a Football Tailgating begins

9:00a – 4:00p Alternative Breaks Silent Auction – Bangor Room, Memorial Union

10:00a – 1:00p Student Organization Philanthropy Fair – University Mall

10:00a – noon Maine Business School Coffee and Conversation – Donald P. Corbett, Atrium
