Student Employment Employer Training - Determining Eligibility
Not every student at UMaine is eligible to be a student employee!
In order to be considered a student employee, the student must be:
- Enrolled in a degree-granting or certificate program
- Enrolled at least half time
Students who wish to work at the University and do not meet these criteria are not considered student employees. In these cases, they must be hired through Human Resources.
Students who are enrolled at a school other than UMaine can work as a student employee, they simply need to provide proof of enrollment to you, the employer. Keep in mind, the same eligibility requirements above apply.
