Solo and Ensemble Night gives campers the opportunity to perform alone or in a small group.  It is not required that campers participate.  Those that wish to perform at Solo and Ensemble Night must come to camp with a prepared musical selection and pass an audition with one of our staff members.  Staff members will only pass campers who prepare a quality performance.  Due to time constraints we may not be able to accept all campers that audition.

Meal/access cards are required for dining in the commons. Resident campers will receive a meal/access card at registration.  Commuters also have the opportunity to purchase a meal plan. Commuter campers who do not purchase a meal plan will not be allowed entry into the dining hall.  Please see enclosed information sheet for meals plans and prices.

Phones/Cell Phones/Pagers:

In this age of technology many parents like to give their children cell phones and/or pagers.  This is usually done for reasons of safety and at MSYM we are certainly concerned about the safety of your child.  However, campers with cell phones/pagers have created some problems at MSYM by disrupting rehearsals, etc.  We are requiring all cell phones be left in the dorm rooms or in the MSYM office for commuters.  Students can use them before breakfast, during lunch or dinner and before lights out in the dorms.  In the event of an emergency you can always call the camp office and we will get a hold of your camper.

Campers who do not have cell phones should bring a pre-paid calling card.  The phones they will have access to will not allow them to call long distance without one.  Regardless of whether your camper has a cell phone or not, please note that the last activity of the day ends at approximately 9:00 pm.  Campers will be available at this time to make or receive phone calls before lights out at this time.
