Call Backs.

  • Please prepare a very short piece from the play (1 min.)
  • Pick a piece from a character that interests you. Think about who you think he/she is and what they want. Think also about the source of their vulnerabilities and their pride.
  • The director would also like to see any special skills you have, i.e. tumbling, playing an instrument, singing, etc.
  • The rehearsal period is Sept. 17 – Nov. 10-19 (Production Dates)
  • For more info, please contact Marcia Douglas at 207.581.1846.

Note from the Director: If you have not prepared an audition piece I will see cold readings each night. My advice to you is to pick a piece that you like and work on it and then you can use that piece even if it is not memorized. Completely COLD readings of Shakespeare can be tough. I do not expect you to be a whiz at dealing with the language but you need to know what you are saying. Not to worry about scansion, et.al., we will learn together in rehearsal.
