Orono Community Theatre is holding auditions for
THE JUNGLE BOOK
February 7 and 8, 2015
Orono Community Theatre will hold auditions for its Spring production of The Jungle Book on Saturday, February 7 at 1pm and Sunday, February 8 at 3pm at the Keith Anderson Community House, 19 Bennoch Rd., Orono. The script, based on the Mowgli stories by Rudyard Kipling is written by Joseph Robinette and will be directed by OCT Artistic Director Sandy Cyrus.
A total of 15 actors are needed for the cast, with roles for adults and children. The play is set in an English boarding school where a young Rudyard Kipling is busy composing a piece for a short story competition at his school. Actors will be cast in double roles, both as humans and as animals, as the plot weaves back and forth between the boarding school world and the jungles of India.
