Graduate Experience:

“I loved the graduate experience at UMaine. The SOE faculty, thesis advisor, and my cohort have been extraordinarily supportive and encouraging on many occasions. Opportunities to expand my personal and professional network were easily accessible. In particular, we were constantly encouraged to participate in tutorial discussions, and relevant seminars and conferences within and outside the University. From a personal perspective, a good graduate research program should be able to provide balance between theory and practice, and between rigor and relevance? the education I received here just simply reflects this sentiment.

UMaine also provides rich intercultural experience. As an international student, I have very much enjoyed the close knit and vibrant community of students. To this day, I still stay in contact with some of my SOE cohort and the ISA regularly and consider them all good friends and great colleagues.”
