The University of Maine’s Safe Campus Project works to promote a safe community for everyone. We strive to reduce sexual assault, relationship abuse, and stalking by encouraging healthy and consensual relationships.

Services are available to all free of charge.

  • Providing support around the areas of sexual violence, relationship abuse, and stalking.
  • Can help answer questions and concerns.
  • Offering resources and referrals on interpersonal violence.

The Safe Campus Project provides workshops and presentations focusing on the areas of sexual violence, relationship abuse, and stalking to any group via request.

The Safe Campus Project originated with funding from the Office on Violence Against Women, U.S. Department of Justice (Grant No. 2000-WA-VX-0012 and 2004-WA-AX-0002), and is now an ongoing program through the Women’s Resource Center at the University of Maine.
