Forms and Info for UMaine Staff - Office Furniture Contracts

The contracts listed on the Shopping Plaza website are available for University staff to use for official University business. Because most of these contracts were obtained through a competitive process, relieving you of the obligation to obtain quotes when purchasing furniture items for your office.  We encourage you, however, to compare products and pricing among the contracts so you make the best decisions for your department.

We in Purchasing maintain a room with several demo chairs.  Please make an appointment with Kelly Bannen to visit the room and try out the selections.

 For Fabric Selection:  Please see the chair fabric swatches in Kelly Bannen’s office prior to placing your order.  Some dealers will not accept returns for color decisions or will charge a fee to switch out chair parts for new fabric.

Classroom & Computer Lab Furniture

Although some of the products are suitable for areas such as computer labs, classrooms, etc., these contracts are not intended for those types of purchases. In classroom or lab situations, please contact Purchasing for assistance; we will arrange for several vendors to submit proposals for your particular project. This will assure that you get the best furniture for your purpose at the best price.
