The Peter Madigan ’81 Congressional Internship Program, in its sixth decade, is open to Juniors and Seniors, regardless of major, on a competitive basis. Each spring several UMaine students are selected to live in Washington DC while working full-time in a congressional office, normally from the Maine delegation. Readings and reports are required in addition to performing staff work in a congressional office.

Program applications for the Spring 2014 semester are now being accepted. All UMaine juniors and seniors are eligible to apply, regardless of major.

For more information, and to download an application, visit, or stop by the Political Science Office in North Stevens Hall.

Application deadline: Thursday, October 18, 2013 at noon.
