Many of us know that employers check social media–Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.–to evaluate job candidates. But did you know that many employers are recruiting candiates directly from information presented in social media?

White, “Social Media Profiles Replacing Resumes in the Job Hunt.” And no, this article does NOT give you an excuse to neglect updating your resume. But it should give you a reason to create and/or update (and, if necessary, clean up) your social media presence.
