Dr. Renae Moran
Research Area: Tree Fruits
Bio: Dr. Moran received her BS from the University of Minnesota. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Arkansas. She joined the faculty in 2000 and is now an Associate Professor of Pomology.
Current Research and Extension Program:
Environmental and genotypic variation in cold hardiness of apple trees
New plum varieties for a local market
Optimizing storage of Honeycrisp and other apple varieties to improve fruit quality and prevent storage losses
Using rootstocks to increase apple tree yield and survival
