Marrs Gives Clinics and Performs Concerto at PAS Brazil Day of Percussion

On October 13, 2002 in Campinas and October 14 in Rio de Janeiro, Dr. Stuart Marrs participated as a soloist and clinician for the Brazil Day of Percussion.

Marrs delivered two clinics at the Campinas (UNICAMP) site: one on percussion accessories — cymbals, tambourine, and triangle; and one on timpani.

Stuart Marrs showing timpani technique In addition to enjoying the fine hospitality provided by my host, Prof. Fernando Hashimoto, who took a few hours to show us around his home town of Rio de Janeiro, I had the pleasure and privilage of getting to know fellow clinician at the festival, vibraphonist Anders Astrand from Sweden.
